Abstract: Human trafficking survivors frequently lack transportation upon leaving their trafficking situation. This research seeks to explore how a lack of transportation affects survivors. Trafficking survivors were interviewed individually and asked questions regarding their experience with access to transportation. Participants overwhelmingly expressed unmet needs as the greatest result of lacking transportation, additionally mentioning financial barriers, systemic problems with public transportation, and fear when using ridesharing services. This data is important, as it sheds light on a significant problem for trafficking survivors.
